Epic

First epic ride of the year today. Read about it on Sean's page or stay tuned for some pictures.

Departing at noonish with a wonderful temp around 43 degrees it was good to be out. Light wind, mostly dry roads. For early March bike riding it does not get a whole lot better.
Kyle and I met up with Sean, and found out the Ghost would be joining us. Cool, the more the merrier, plus rides with the Ghost are always entertaining.

On the way to go ghost hunting I got realized I was wearing to much...

So I decided to strip.Kyle was my hanger

Then we rode bikes for a while. Sean has the desire to ride over 200 watts all the time now, so we did that for around 2.5 hours. Then it started misting and getting windy (after a wind switch). We slowed up to eat and dress up. The slow did not last for long, because when the Ghost get wet, he gets hungry....

Caution: Will rip off your legs.

For the next just over an hour we were going quite hard. Well mainly the Ghost out front and Sean and I hanging on for dear life. By the time we got home my legs were shot, hands numb, toes cold, and I was very pleased.

Before parting ways, Casper asked what the powertap averages were, while that is what it said...

Another mode said that I averaged 214 watts for the 3hr 35 min. That is with dicking around for 30 min before as well.

Plan that can't fail--hit out into the stiff but warm SE wind and, at the point farthest from home, instead of reaping the benefits of a push home, turn back into a ripping NW, cold-ass wind delivering freezing rain--all the way home. Good thing there's nothing a hot bath can't cure.

Jakeboy. Best wishes to you and your buddys for 2008. I can see the winter has got you. We are still waiting for spring but i can`t see anything like coldness an wind. We are starting our race season on sunday. You know the small roads here? 250 riders are announced. Bloody hell. So maybe we have not so much snow....
We have also two new members in the neighborhood: Linus Gerdemann and Gerald Ciolek from Team High Road moved to Kreuzlingen. I have contact to Linus and we had some good trainings togehter. BUT ... he drives in another universe. Unbelivable. But he`s realy a nice guy.
All right jake. Take care. And as we in germany say ... chain to the right!

Hope we see us again. bye sascha
